Cecilia Murray hates most things, but she loves dogs. Volunteering at her local pet shelter, she meets Potato, an adorable puppy who was found abandoned in a Dumpster and now in dire need of TLC. Cecilia nurses him back to health and in the process gains companionship that’s been missing from her life since her dad started being distant and after her best friend moved away. But things get complicated when Eric Chung, the popular boy from her school, expresses interest in adopting Potato. He and his family are known for grooming some of the best show dogs in town, and Cecilia just knows that letting Potato go with them is a recipe for disaster. Shenanigans ensue and sparks fly as Cecilia and Eric butt heads (and maybe just maybe fall in crush) over all things puppy-related.
