I Have Someone I Want to Recommend to Join the Group, Who Do I Speak to?
If you know a teacher who is already running clubs in their classroom and think they would benefit from this group, please share this link, scholastic.ca/teacheradvisoryboard. Directions to join this group can be found on the page under, "Join Now".
If you know a teacher who is considering signing up for Reading Club, they can contact customer service at custserve@scholastic.ca or call 1-800-268-3860 to learn more.
All "Requests to Join" the Teacher Advisor Group will be carefully reviewed by Scholastic Reading Club Staff and Group Administrators.
As a Member of This Group, Does This Mean I am an Employee or Representative of Scholastic?
While all members of the Scholastic Teacher Advisor Group are expected to act appropriately when referencing Scholastic on any Social Media platform or conversations, Members are not considered employees or formal representatives of the company.
Do You Have This Product? Can You Get It?
All currently available books and products can be viewed by visiting scholastic.ca/clubshop. We do our best to feature the best in children's literature and educational products. As such, we are constantly on the lookout for recommendations from parents and teachers.
Who Monitors the Facebook Group?
All Teacher Advisory Groups are monitored by staff of Scholastic Reading Club.
What Type of Content Are We Allowed to Share to This Group?
Any content shared in the group should relate in some way to books, reading, school, Scholastic, and other related themes. Any content containing demeaning, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate material contrary to the mission and values of Scholastic Reading Club will be removed.
Is This Different From the Advisor Program Last School Year?
While the mission and purpose of the Advisor Program has remained the same, we have opened up the group to all teachers who run clubs in the classroom to build a bigger community of like-minded individuals who want to help influence, improve and share the benefits of the Scholastic Reading Club program. This group will also allow us to better communicate Reading Club updates, changes, reminders, and rewards!
